My Art/Design

2020 was a hard year for all of us.  And for some, it is still hard.  We are learning to move forward in new ways.  For me, I learned to be ok with allowing myself to be sad.  We had already had our lives "shut-down" once, so when the world began to shut down, all the emotions from the past began to surface.

I have always wanted to try painting.  Since 2020 created more space, I purchased some simple art supplies and started.  I have been tinkering for years with all kinds of graphic design and video editing.  If I am creating something, you know I am in my happy place.  This is where Wholehearted and True began.

I am still a novice and in no way share my art to say "look at how good I am". My hope is to inspire and encourage you to find your passion and a way to express your heart.

Fall's Light Finished October 24, 2022
Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's flower; But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
-Robert Frost
Though warm and green out my window, in my mind's eye I dream of Fall's golden glory.  The crisp and chill in the air.  The lingering moments where the light brings out the gold.

Foggy Mountains Finished August 2022
There is beauty in the fog.
When the unseen gives way and you a glimpse.
Color beyond imagination,
Stillness for the soul,
Peace in the knowing
All is grace and
All is well.

Summer Reflection Finished June 2022
Quiet reflection on all that was, all that is yet to be.
Stillness speaks of the wonder and beauty of now.
This very moment in the presence of Creation.
Not wanting to blink of even a second, taking in the glory.
Capturing the warmth and breathing in the goodness.

Colorado Gold finished August 2021
As I sat down to continue working on my FIRST oil painting, it was a process of several weeks in getting it just as my mind pictured it.  Reminds me of a verse I keep close-
"being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" Phil 1:6
Thankful today that like this painting, God isn't done with me yet, if it was up to me.....think I would have given up. Our stories are beautiful anthems of what His transformational love and grace does over a lifetime.
Allow His work in you my friends.

Thanks for your encouragement to try oils @sagrestanoart
