Trust the process my boy turning 22
He had already left for work before I had a chance to tell him, this boy of mine turning 22 today. Off to a job that may only be a stepping stone, resume builder and life teacher. Wanting to tell this boy now man that his mama is proud of who he is and all he is becoming. Even in this seemingly insignificant step in life. It's important to understand how all these steps towards becoming are molding you into a man after the heart of our creator God. Truly this journey is a perpetual process, lifelong adventure.
And of all the wisdom I could offer, it would be to lean in and stay with it. Grab hold and don't be afraid of the process. Keep pressing through the hard and the not yet. Allow the molding and shaping of love in, even in the broken places. Listen close for the holy whispers of what is true instead of the loud culture surrounding with it's shallow promises.
And I can promise while the process will most certainly not be easy, you will rise strong and courageous with each step of this becoming.
He is making you new everyday, able to be all that He has created you to be. Trust Him. Trust the process.
May this 22nd year be full of all the desires of your heart Austin.
