Fearless

always leading the way-

Funny what grows from fear.  It seems to either make you brave or render you paralyzed.   Fear can wreck us, break us when choosing to turn away and hide.  Yet, when we choose to step through it and face it, courage and confidence builds.
My fearless boy now man began teaching me courage before he was born.  After years of wondering if I would ever become a momma my first arrived, so you can imagine the surprise when only 8 months later the test was positive again.  The second time around was uniquely different with a baby on my hip while a husband travelled the world.  The difference was accentuated with each test result that returned abnormal and questions arose as the weeks ticked by.   Fear, unlike any I had experienced, began to creep in for what was to come.

One distinct night, laying in the quiet anxiously hoping sleep would overtake, I began to pray.  God spoke so sweetly in my heart and mind,  "no fear....trust me".  And in those moments, a peace calmed, assuring me that regardless of the outcome, He was with me.  Just keep going.  And so it was walking through fear that I stepped up into courage.

Very late into the evening on the 22nd of September,  a baby was born with the Hebrew name meaning "faithful, devotion, wholehearted, bold, BRAVE."  Not only does he live up to his name, he reaches out and pulls everyone around him up into believing that they too can live with courage...face fear.  Leading the way of anything is possible and life is an adventure to be discovered, just don't miss the beauty along the way.  He's contagious and inspiring to watch go after his dreams with discipline and fortitude.

Hoping 21 is the best year yet Caleb.  This Momma sure loves you and thankful for you and how you teach me courage still.
